Great Brickhill’s history is also the history of the people who lived and worked here. Families farmed land, ran businesses, taught, served the community and contributed to village life. Their stories connect households and occupations with the places around them.
Begin with Great Brickhill Heritage for the Duncombe and Turner family accounts, Authors of Great Brickhill and the Hall of Fame. Connected Regional Heritage provides a route to families and estates in the surrounding area. Wider Area Context points readers towards the available collections.
Writer’s Corner offers another way to explore the people behind the writing, together with the village news archive and references. These shared collections can be reached from more than one subject without repeating the original accounts.
