Great Brickhill’s history is also the history of the people who made their lives here. Family accounts connect homes and farms with work, landownership and service to the community. The Duncombe and Pauncefort-Duncombe account explores the family’s place in the village and estate; the Turner account follows a farming family’s continuity and community involvement.
Authors of Great Brickhill and the Hall of Fame offer further routes into the people represented on the site. Writer’s Corner brings these collections together with the village news archive, references and other writing. Follow the links to explore the existing accounts alongside the village’s farming and place histories.
