Many will know that the pop group, The Barron Knights, are local to the area. They found fame in the 1960s to probably the 1990s. Some like me will know that lead guitarist Butch Baker lived in the village for many years. He took an active part in the community which he loved. Now living nearby, they still visit the village from time to time and have many friends here.

Wikipedia has a good resume of their band’s success. The Three Trees Millennium 2000 Capsule has a copy of one of their cassette tapes. Let’s hope that someone has a cassette player in 2100!
