The children’s fancy dress went well (everyone won first prize!) and the Dog Show was nothing short of a triumph with more dogs taking part than you could shake a very long stick at. Lewis re-introduced James for his ‘Proclamation’, followed by speechmakers David Bratt, Mike Turner, Barbara Wight and Clare Clarke, a Deputy Lieutenant for Buckinghamshire. Sara Cawte played ‘Majesty’ on the cornet, and Stephen Syfret played ‘Diu Regnare’ on the bagpipes. Wayne James ran the sound system.
